VOLUNTEERS & STAFF
You can volunteer AND see the show!
To become a volunteer, just call the theater at 375-9050
and offer to give an extra hour
before you see one of our great shows. We
have need of volunteers for:
Will Call: Distribute Tickets to Patrons
Tickets: Collect Ticket Stubs as Patrons enter
Programs: Give Patrons programs as they enter
Usher: Help Patrons find their seats as they enter.
Concessions:
Set up the Cookies and Water bottles and collect money for sales before
the show, then hurry out after intermission to sell the Cookies and Water at
intermission.
You can then be seated in time to enjoy the show. And, if you do not have a ticket to the show and there are seats available, you can go in and enjoy the show.
SUPER-VOLUNTEERS
In addition, we have need for Two Super-Volunteers for each show; whose duties involve time after the show begins. These super volunteers cannot see the show on the day that they serve, so we offer free tickets, subject to availability, to see the show another day!
House Manager: Duties involve preparing the theater, helping late arrivals, coordinating with the stage manager for curtain times, and being the "go-to" person for volunteers. Read the instructions on the volunteer bulletin board (some duties are different than in the past). These directions make this is an easy but important job providing support during the entire show.
Box Office Cashier: This job requires training with the computer with our Box
Office Managers Julia Wilson and Tricia Powers. Just call them at 375-9050 to set up a time to
come practice. You will process
the "before show" ticket orders and then process
"exchange" tickets and balance the cash drawer after the show
begins. Time required is 6:30-8:30pm on the evening performances and
12:30-2:30pm on matinee Sundays
All volunteers are invited to come to the final dress rehearsal, cheer the actors through their first performance, and pass the word to the community to come see the show.
The Hamilton Players Board of Directors
The Hamilton Players Board of Directors meets the second Tuesday of every month and the agenda will be posted on the website and on the notice board at the Playhouse. The public is invited.
